We decided to hire a mix of employees, both experienced and university students. The university students are paid lower wages, but need more training. By pairing them with more experienced employees, we hope their training time can be shortened.
We decided on mobile locations, but not near our shop as we didn’t want to cut into the shop’s business, where we can also make coffee to go. We currently set up near a large office building in the morning, move to near a shopping center in the afternoon, and position ourselves near a street with popular restaurants at night.
How should we market this aspect of our business?
What is the best media or combination of media to use?
How best to not spend too much money on our marketing budget?

First, we have to let people know our business service and what time and where we’ll go to sell coffee. If cutsmers don’t know it exactly, our business is useless. Also, we have to go wherever custmers want us to come to buy and sell coffee there.
I think we should advertize on the internet because some people don’t watch TV and read books and newspapers but, everyone looks over articles on the internet in Japan now.
We have to find best 3 or 4 places which we can get many custmers in and it isn’t far from one place to the others because if it would be far from one place to the others, it would cost a lot of money to move. So, if we can save money to move and make a lot of money, we can get so much profit. This is my plan.

Remember we have only 2 carts, so if you’re planning to cover 3 or 4 places that might be at different times of the day.

First, I think that it is obviously good to try new coffee cars to make money more because if the cars go around the original coffee shop, it doesn’t work well effectively. so I think that the idea of marketing upon is fine.
I am going to distribute flyers to those who work near the office building in advance. However, I suppose that the coffee shop doesn’t have to use media because of the character of vending. we usually don’t decide to go a vending, we often happen to choose vending for the first time. if the customers like it, we will get repeaters.
to save money of training, we can set beginer time for a couple weeks to train when the wage is lower than what supposed to be. then if the trainees get used to the job, you can raise up the wages to the original one. it could help the shop save maney to train.

Akio,
This issue of pay is not related to marketing per se, but rather to saving money.
I think the idea of using advance fliers is not a bad idea. How much in advance of the starting date are you thinking of distributing fliers?

For the sake of good coffee-marketing, every jobs and tasks should be done effectively and smoothly. Therefore, we have to train our new stuff well and make them become “the immidiate impact”. Every new stuff has to be trained well to have “hospitality” in order to offer the hearty customer services.
As Akio said above, distributing flyers is the beat way for the advertizement in this case. Perhaps I will attach the coupon on them, like “Discount 10%–The First Week Only” or “Buy Three, Get One Free”, and maybe “Bring Tumbler, Discount 10%”. To cut the advertizement cost, I will bring flyers to the near office building and shopping moll by myself, and ask them to use the billboard. If I could, I will also design flyers by myself or ask friend who goes the college of graphic design.

the best way of marketing this business is giving flyer. this wouldnt cost that much and eazy to carry out. now, many universities are having a festival. there are not only students but their family come to see them so it is goot place to giving them our flyer. we’d better to offer a coupon on this flyer. then there will be possible for them to use it.

First, I suppose we have to know what are the merits of our business.
We have no seats like cafes and only to go like vending. We need to know what advantage that we have.If we know our advantage,we have to push it and let people know it.
Second,How to do it? I agree Akio and Misato Emiko’opinions.
Distributing flyers is a nice idea but we need more workers to do it, isn’t it?
How about by word of mouth?
